Thousands walk through City Rail Link tunnels

From Morning Report, 8:35 am on 18 November 2019

Thousands of people walked through a section of Auckland's new underground rail tunnels yesterday to get a preview of the city's future public transport network.

The 600 metre walk began at Britomart station and passed under the historic Chief Post Office building and the Commercial Bay Precinct before crossing to another tunnel for the return.

The event had its own hashtag and many people paused for selfies.

RNZ's Amy Williams was amongst them.
