Councillor Nicola Young and Mayor Andy Foster are hoping to revive the capital's flag.
The flag features a curious looking blue dolphin, and a galleon ship adorned with the English flag in black and yellow.
The flag was created in 1963 and has rarely been used since.
Councillor Nicola Young thinks that should change.
