Suicide attempts in police custody up 285pct

Over the past year, an average of more than six people a month have attempted suicide while in police custody.

That's an increase of nearly 285 percent on four years ago.

The police say the increase can be put down to better reporting, and a rise in mental health problems they're having to deal with.
