New podcast uncovers mystery behind Erebus disaster

Forty years on from the Erebus Disaster which claimed 257 lives, a former Attorney General says he has one real regret from that period.

In November 1979 an Air New Zealand sightseeing flight crashed into Mt Erebus in Antarctica.

Inquiries were launched: the first blaming the pilots while the second famously accused the airline of a coverup.0

As the anniversary approaches, a new podcast from RNZ and Stuff looks at the impact and aftermath of New Zealand's deadliest disaster.
