Christopher Luxon has been selected as the National Party's candidate for the Botany electorate.
Mr Luxon put forward his name forward less than a month ago, after six years as Air New Zealand's chief executive.
He'll contest the seat held by Jami-Lee Ross who quit National last year in spectacular fashion to become an Independent MP.
Jordan Bond was at the selection meeting.
