Jenny Salesa is the Minister for Ethnic Communities and is of Tongan heritage.
Hon Jenny Salesa is New Zealand's first Tongan born, Tongan speaking Member of Parliament and the first Tongan born Cabinet Minister of the Crown.
She praised the Tongan National Rugby League Team, commonly associated with the phrase "Mate Ma'a Tonga", for its victory over Australia on Saturday.
