The Wellington Mayoral chains are finally around Andy Foster's neck, but for how long?
He won the election by a narrow margin of 62 votes, but the now former mayor Justin Lester has gone to the District Court, asking for a recount.
A judge is expected to decide by next week if that will happen.
In the meantime, Mr Foster and his councillors were sworn in on Wednesday night. Charlotte Cook was there.
