Tax experts want property flipping loophole closed

From Morning Report, 7:44 am on 30 October 2019

Tax officials want to change the law so that people who 'flip' houses can't avoid tax by changing the person who buys and sells the property each time.

The proposed change is part of the initatives the government is making to tighten up on housing speculation after the recommendation of the Tax Working Group for a capital gains tax was rejected.

PWC Tax partner - and Tax Working Group member - Geof Nightingale spoke to Morning Report.
