Surge of police bullying complaints leads to second inquiry

A surge of bullying complaints to the Independent Police Conduct Authority has seen it launch an investigation into the issue within the police. The IPCA announcement came two days after the police announced an independent inquiry, looking into how bullying complaints are dealt with. Police who RNZ has talked to were sceptical over that initial review, saying it wouldn't address the underlying issue. Our police reporter, Ben Strang, broke the stories of widespread bullying told Philippa Tolley the IPCA review will have a much wider scope, which is pleasing those who have been bullied.
