Hot spots remain on the roof, but fire under control.

Fire and Emergency incident controller Craig Monrad told Philippa Tolley cranes remain on site as they deal with hot spots on the roof of the Sky City convention centre. Officers have been inside the building. Some parts of the roof have collapsed into the atrium but the steel framing appears to be holding up and will be assessed by engineers in the following days.
