Central city roads in Auckland are slowly starting to reopen around the SkyCity convention centre. Overnight seventy fire-fighters worked on the fire to ensure hotspots don't flare up again. And more good news the 8-million litres of contaminated water in the basement of convention centre is safe enough to be pumped into the wastewater system rather than straight out to sea. There were fears the water would be too toxic to be treated and would end up in the Waitemata Harbour and become a major environmental hazard. But tests have ruled that out. RNZ's Jessie Chiang reports from the cordon.
