Kurdish community protest in Auckland

The Kurdish community marched through central Auckland over the weekend, in support of Western Kurdistan against Turkey's invasion of Northern Syria. Tens of thousands of people have fled their homes as Turkish forces step up their attacks on Kurdish-held areas. Casualties are mounting on both sides of the border. International pressure is mounting on Turkey to stop the attack, but President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says it will continue. Susie Ferguson spoke to Sarkawt Abdullazada, spokesperson from the New Zealand Kurdish Community who says history is repeating, recalling the ambandonment of the Kurds in Northern Iraq in 1991.
