Wellington transport lobby group worried new Mayor will bring more cars

A transport lobby group is worried the new Wellington mayor will encourage more cars into the city. Andy Foster has swooped in to take the mayoralty off Justin Lester. Mr Foster promised to fix Wellington's transport woes by pushing for better bus services and making a second Mt Victoria tunnel the priority over light rail. Fair Intelligent Transport Wellington spokesperson John Rankin told political reporter Charlie Dreaver building more roads isn't going to achieve the future residents want.
