Turkey threatens to flood EU with refugees
Turkey's threatening to flood Europe with refugees, if its leaders keep calling his country's invasion into Syria an occupation. Turkish forces are stepping up air strikes and a ground offensive, forcing tens-of-thousands to flee their homes, as the incursion into Kurdish-held areas of northern Syria enters a second day. There are reports of heavy fighting in the central border region, killing dozens of people. World leaders are urging Turkey to act with restraint, to avoid more human suffering.
