New Transport Agency chair responds to damning report

A damning report into the Transport Agency has found pervasive problems in the culture and structure of the agency from the senior leadership down. The Agency had a backlog of over 850 compliance cases, and had not taken action against a vehicle inspection company that certified a car which man in Dargaville was killed-in, when his frayed seatbelt gave way in a crash. The organisation's former chief executive resigned in December, and the chairman of the board resigned in April. We speak to the new chairman Sir Brian Roche about the task ahead.
