Hans Dalton's mother: 'We just want the truth'

From Morning Report, 6:19 am on 10 October 2019

An aggrieved mother whose son died in unexplained circumstances in a Samoan prison is pleading one last time for help from the Government. It's been almost seven years since Hans Dalton's body was found half-submerged in a water drum in a Tafa'igata prison cell. 38-year-old Hans - who was under psychiatric care - was holidaying with family in Samoa in 2012 when Cyclone Evan struck. An inquest was hampered by Samoan authorties - who refused to cooperate with the inquiry. His mother Christine Wilson told reporter Anneke Smith the whanau celebrated his 45th birthday without him last month - says that was extremely frustrating.
