The loss of State Highway Four between Whanganui and Raetihi is hitting some local businesses hard, says Ruapehu's mayor. A 400 metre stretch of the highway disappeared in a massive slip last week. Trucks travelling betweeen Raetihi and Whanganui have no option but to take a detour that adds about 90 minutes to journey times. Susie speaks to Don Cameron, the mayor of Ruapehu District.
