Lobby group claims councils can say no to bottling consents

Pressure is mounting on the Wellington Regional Council to decline new applications to extract and bottle water for international export but it insists its hands are tied unless there's proof the extractions will cause environmental harm. But Aotearoa Water Action, which is already legally challenging Environment Canterbury over its decision to grant water bottling consents, says that's not true. Emma Hatton reports.
