Police: Social media obstructing sex trafficking investigations

From Morning Report, 7:44 am on 27 September 2019

The police are accusing social media companies and internet providers in New Zealand of hampering their work to save children living overseas from sexual exploitation online. They say the companies' privacy provisions are shielding offenders who target countries like the Philippines where poverty is driving sex tourism and online paedophile activity. RNZ's Gill Bonnett travelled to Manila and filed this report.
