Man behind failed construction firms apologises to creditors

The man behind failed construction firms Stanley Group and Tallwood Holdings has appeared in front of creditors to apologise, saying he takes complete responsibility. Six Stanley construction group companies were put into liquidation earlier this month, alongside four associated Tallwood companies. Liquidators say they've now made deals with one of the developers to pay subcontractors - and Housing New Zealand has agreed to do the same. Creditors and liquidators have met for the first time - our reporter Tom Furley was there.
