National questions plan to limit sales incentives for banks

National is questioning a government plan to limit sales incentives in the banking and insurance industries. Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Kris Faafoi says incentives such as overseas trips and bonuses encourage staff to pressure customers into buying products they don't need. He expects a new law to be introduced this year and says it will protect consumers from unscrupulous sales agents. We speak to National's commerce and consumer affairs spokesperson, Brett Hudson.
