Zero carbon ambitions for the building and construction sector

The Green Building Council says New Zealand could lead the world with cleaner and greener buildings. The council's world body says building and construction sector is responsible for belching out 39 percent of all carbon emissions in the world. But it has plans to reduce its carbon footprint by 40 percent by 2030, and be carbon neutral 20 years after that. Jeff Vickers prepared a report on building sector emissions for the Green Building Council.
