Westland Milk fronts up over harmful chemical leak

People who used a Hokitika riverbank cycleway yesterday may have been exposed to a harmful chemical. WorkSafe is investigating after a chemical cleaning hose burst at the Westland Milk Products factory yesterday afternoon, releasing a vapour which included dilute nitric acid. The company's communications manager is Steve Attwood.
