Vital that future generations know NZ history - sociologist

Sociologist Joanna Kidman says it will be 'extremely important' to involve iwi in establishing the curriculum when New Zealand history becomes a compulsory subject in schools. She says history is "not always nice" and future generations need to know the good and bad about what went before them.
