Maori-burgers to fuel Ngati Hine mandate mission

From Morning Report, 8:43 am on 12 September 2019

Northland's Ngati Hine people have begun a fund-raising drive to get on the road and seek their own mandate for a Treaty settlement. The large Ngapuhi sub-tribe were fierce opponents of the Tuhoronuku mandate, that failed last year in its bid to seek an iwi-wide settlement. In the absence of Crown funding - Ngati Hine are holding raffles and cakes stalls to fund their own campaign. Lois Williams reports.
