A former constable says he considered suicide because of the persistent bullying he faced during his time with the police. A police officer for nearly three decades in England and New Zealand, he says he quit a few years ago due to mental stress. He is one of 40 current or former police staff who have told RNZ bullying is widespread in the police. The former constable spoke to police reporter Ben Strang, under the condition of anonymity.
