Australian fire authorities say the bushfires in Queensland are unprecedented for this time of year. Fire crews are battling nearly 60 blazes, with at least 20 homes destroyed over three days - mostly inland from the Gold Coast. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services says the conditions have never been this severe so early in Spring. Further south, in New South Wales, firefighters are also battling multiple fires, with a focus on containing those near residential areas. Susie Fergusson speaks to Channel 9's Harry Clarke about the fires.
