Environment Minister: New rules won't end pastoral farming

The government's newly announced freshwater plans have been welcomed by dairy giant Fonterra. The Action Plan for Healthy Waterways aims to clean up lakes, rivers and other waterways and involves tougher rules for land use and nitrate levels. Fonterra says it support the new goals - in stark contrast to Federated Farmers who have suggested the new rules could mean the end of pastoral farming in some parts of the country. We spoke to the Environment Minister David Parker, who says that won't happen.
