Government's new freshwater proposals debated

Now for more on the government's new freshwater proposals to clean up rivers, lakes and wetlands. The plans would put the brakes on some rural land development and new pressure on farmers to protect waterways. Federated Farmers says the Government has signalled it is prepared to see an end to pastoral land use in some parts of New Zealand. But dairy giant Fonterra has come out in support of the goals. Marnie Prickett, of lobby group Choose Clean Water, and Corina Jordan, the environment policy lead at Beef + Lamb, joins us to talk about the proposals.
