'A City Possessed' author hopeful Ellis appeal will continue

From Morning Report, 7:49 am on 5 September 2019

Author Lynley Hood, whose book A City Possessed argued that the child abuse trial of Peter Ellis was deeply flawed, hopes a final appeal will still be heard by the Supreme Court.

Peter Ellis served seven years of his 10-year sentence after being found guilty of sexual offending against children at the Christchurch City Creche in 1991.

He died yesterday from bladder cancer, but an appeal against his convictions may still be heard by the Supreme Court in November. Dr Hood spoke with Susie Ferguson.
