$630m funding shortfall hindering social agencies

Social agencies are demanding action to fill a huge funding gap which they say makes it impossible to help people properly.

A new report has found there's a $630m shortfall in what the government contracts social service charities to do, and the actual cost of doing the work.

Chief executive of children's charity Barnados, Mike Munnelly, says government funding has stagnated, and the issues they're dealing with are becoming more complex. Jordan Bond Reports
