Doctors promise faster diagnosis under new cancer plan

Cancer doctors are promising faster diagnosis of cancer and better chances of survival for all New Zealanders under a new plan announced on Sunday.

The government unveiled its long-awaited ten-year cancer action plan, including New Zealand's first ever Cancer Control Agency. It's also given drug-buyer Pharmac $60 million more to buy more drugs, several of which will be cancer drugs.
