Health minister rebuffs opposition’s criticism of cancer plan

Health Minister David Clark isn't biting back at National's criticism of the government's cancer action plan, saying he'll leave the politicking to the opposition.

Yesterday the government unveiled its long-anticipated plan, which includes the establishment of a national Cancer Control Agency and an extra $60 million in funding for Pharmac over the next two years.

National says this plan is too little too late, and something the government was embarrassed into rushing to put together.
