Police Association calls for party unity on gun laws

The Police Association is calling for politicians to unite on the upcoming second round of gun law changes.

Simon Bridges says National is unlikely to support the reforms, claiming they will target law-abiding citizens while being soft on criminals, gangs and extremists.

Despite the criticism Police Minister Stuart Nash says he's still willing to work across party lines.

The president of the Police Association is Chris Cahill, he spoke to Susie Ferguson.
