UK MPs hustling to stop a no-deal Brexit

From Morning Report, 8:26 am on 28 August 2019

In the UK, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is wrangling MPs to try put a stop to a no-deal Brexit.

Mr Corbyn is meeting with other opposition leaders to discuss ways of averting a no deal, possibly by taking control of Parliament's agenda after it returns next week.

The move could force Prime Minister Boris Johnson to ask the EU for a further Brexit delay, beyond the current 31 October deadline.
