Wellington council spends $800k on controversial redevelopment

Wellington City Council has spent hundreds of thousands of ratepayer dollars trying to get the controversial Shelly Bay redevelopment off the ground - but with nothing to show for it.

Nearly $800,000 has been spent on consultancy fees, legal costs and resource consents for the stalled project to build 350 homes, a hotel and a ferry terminal on former Defence Force land on Miramar Peninsula. RNZ's Harry Lock reports.
