Anstey tops Classic TT lightweight practice on return to action

New Zealand motorcycle racing star Bruce Anstey has made a stunning return to the sport in the Isle of Man after having to quit last year to battle cancer.

The 50-year-old from Wellington is one of the most successful racers in the long history of the TT races and his army of fans feared they'd never see him in action again.

But he's back for the Classic TT meeting on the dangerous 60 kilometre course, and celebrated his return by topping the opening practice yesterday for the Lightweight event on his 250cc grand prix Honda.

Padgett Motorcycles racing team owner Clive Padgett spoke to Corin Dann from the Isle of Man.
