Dieting app for children Kurbo comes under fire

From Morning Report, 7:45 am on 21 August 2019

A new dieting app that aims to curb childhood obesity is attracting flack from health experts who warn it's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Launched in the US last week, the Kurbo app from WW - as Weight Watchers is now known - allows children from eight years old to track their weight and food choices.

The app is free to download and although it is not yet available in New Zealand, the backlash against it has reached our shores. Amy Williams reports.
