Pacific will want consensus around climate change - PM

There could be tensions at the Pacific Islands Forum today when the leaders gather for their retreat.

Australia has come under fire from smaller Pacific nations for not doing enough to address climate change. It's expected Australia will push back on any attempts to include tougher climate change goals, or a reduction on coal use.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern met with her Australian counterpart last night, and reporters in Tuvalu asked her whether he applied any pressure on her to back him on this today.
