Iwi concerned census botch-up will affect funding for Maori

The country's biggest iwi says the botched 2018 census has left Māori without accurate data, which will affect how much government funding iwi can get.

Stats New Zealand has admitted it's failed Māori despite multiple warnings that an online census wouldn't work. Only 68 per cent of Māori responded - a staggering 20 per cent drop on the previous census. Meriana Johnsen reports.
