A Hawke's Bay gang is using the ancient Māori tradition of massage to help recover from a spate of suicides and prevent further deaths.

Members and associates of the Mongrel Mob Notorious gang say the practise is not only helping them deal with depression and anxiety in their community, but also reconnecting them with their spiritual and cultural roots.
