Candidate for Auckland mayoralty John Tamihere is facing sceptism over his plan to fix homelessness.
Mr Tamihere wants Aucklanders who see homeless people or beggars to call a hotline 0800 'JACINDA' and someone will then contact a social worker who can help. But Nicola Atwool, from the University of Otago's social work programme, says Mr Tamihere's plan is unrealistic.
