Auckland mayoral candidate John Tamihere has laid out his plan to tackle homelessness but critics says there are some serious flaws.
Mr Tamihere wants to bring in an 0800 hotline so people could dial up a social worker if they see someone who needs help.
But is the policy actually workable, given the Council doesn't employ any social workers and there's already a nationwide shortage.
