Early childhood education standards too low - researcher

A researcher is warning parents they cannot trust early childhood regulations to ensure their child is getting a good quality early education.

Mike Bedford says New Zealand's minimum standards for things like space, temperature and numbers of children are too low.

He told RNZ education correspondent John Gerritsen quality controls are not working well enough and low quality provision is more common than people realise.
