The tributes that have been pouring in for All Black legend Sir Brian Lochore have not been limited to his impact on New Zealand rugby.

The former All Black captain, coach and manager died on Saturday, aged 78, surrounded by his family.

Chris Laidlaw is not only a former All Black who played alongside him in the 1960s, but as chair of the Wellington Regional Council has seen first hand Sir Brian's influence on conservation.
