Reigning New Zealand rally champion Hayden Paddon's dream return to the World Rally Championship turned into a nightmare when he and co-driver John Kennard crashed at high speed during a practice session in Finland.

After losing his spot in the Hyundai team last year, Paddon was making a one-off return to the WRC for Ford.
But with his car wrecked in what the team called a freak accident, and no spare available, he's having to sit out this week's Rally of Finland.
