From Morning Report, 7:25 am on 23 July 2019

The government has announced its second round of proposed gun law changes - with a national gun registry spearheading the bill.

Among the other changes proposed would be halving the term of a firearms licence from 10 years to five, tightening the licencing rules for both buyers and sellers of firearms and imposing a licensing regime on shooting clubs and ranges.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern discusses the proposal with Corin Dann.
