Police reopen cold case on 1984 Trades Hall bombing

Police are awaiting DNA testing results as they make fresh inquiries in the unsolved 1984 Trades Hall bombing in Wellington that killed caretaker Ernie Abbott.

Mr Abbott was killed in the blast after he picked up a suitcase that had been left on the ground floor.

No one has ever been charged.
