At least five Northwood homes are unlikely to ever be lived in again after being severely damaged in a gas explosion in the Christchurch suburb on Friday.
On Sunday residents in those homes on Marble Court were escorted to their properties by police to collect belongings, as they wait for engineers to decide whether they will ever be able to live there again.
