Six scientists end simulated moon mission experiment

From Morning Report, 6:17 am on 19 July 2019

As the world commemorates 50 years since the first moon landing, six scientists have just emerged from a four-month isolation experiment.

The project - run by the Russian, European and US Space agencies - saw volunteers simulate a mission to the moon.

The Russian and American volunteers were housed in a series of capsules in a research facility in Moscow, and the project conducted psychological and physiological research on the team.

Harry Horton reports from Moscow.
